SMS Opt-In

This page shows how a person consents to receive text messages from ASL Dating. It is published for carrier and messaging-compliance review, because ASL Dating's sign-up happens inside a mobile app rather than on a web page.

📱 Where the opt-in happens

ASL Dating is a mobile application. There is no web sign-up form and no password: a person signs in with their mobile number and a one-time code. Consent to receive text messages is given at the moment the person enters their mobile number and taps Send Code, with the full disclosure shown on that same screen, immediately above the button.

By tapping "Send Code", you agree to receive texts from ASL Dating:

Your one-time sign-in code, sent only when you ask for one.
Notices the law requires, if you file a report.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to opt out.

STOP also stops your sign-in codes. There is no password and no email backup, so you would not be able to get into your account.

📸 The opt-in screens

Screen 1 — the agreement step. Before any account exists, the person must tick four separate boxes, each unchecked by default: Terms of Service (with age confirmation), Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and the safety acknowledgement. The Continue button does nothing until all four are ticked.

Screen 2 — the mobile number and the consent disclosure. The person enters their mobile number. The disclosure quoted above appears directly beneath the number field and immediately above the Send Code button. Tapping Send Code is the act of consent.

Screen 3 — the one-time code. The person receives a six-digit code by text and enters it to sign in.

✉️ What is sent, and nothing else

A one-time sign-in code, sent only when the person asks for one by tapping Send Code. There is no password and no email login, so this is how a member reaches their own account. The frequency is therefore entirely the member's own.
Notices required by law, only if the person uses the reporting route described in the Privacy Policy — a written confirmation, updates while the report is open, and the outcome. These go to a number the person chooses, which may differ from their sign-in number.

No marketing or promotional texts are sent at all. A mobile number, a text-messaging opt-in, and consent to receive texts are never shared with, or sold to, third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

🛑 Opting out

Reply STOP to stop the messages, and START to begin receiving them again. Reply HELP for help, or email support@asldatingapp.com.

Members are told plainly what STOP does: because the mobile number is how a person signs in, and there is no password and no email fallback, stopping the messages also stops the sign-in code and the member will not be able to get into their account. That warning appears on the sign-up screen and in the Privacy Policy.

Message and data rates may apply depending on the member's plan. ASL Dating does not charge for messages, and carriers are not liable for a delayed or undelivered message.
